Indian cooking

India has one of the world’s greatest cuisines with both well-known and much-loved repertoire of dishes. Join our culinary journey from the snack-sellers in the streets of Delhi to home-cooked vegetarian recipes and sweet dishes of Amritsar, the city of the Golden Temple in the North of India.

The North-Indian Kitchen

The kitchen of North India is very rich. We use all kind of vegetables and a large range of different lentils, which is called dal, for our recipes.

You will get to know at least 15 of our essential spices which makes our North Indian food so delicious and also easier to digest.

During the course you learn how to make authentic Indian flatbread (Roti) or filled ones (like Paratha). What can not be missed in Indian food is snacks and dips called chutney and made of all kind of herbs, spices and vegetables.

The vegetarian dishes we teach are rooted in India's age-old vegetarian culinary tradition yet adapted to today's kitchen and lifestyle; wholesome, healthy and fresh. In vegetarian kitchen we often use Paneer (a kind of cottage cheese as a supplement), we will make in a very easy way from whole milk. Paneer can be used in many North Indian recipes and tastes amazing.
